The President’s nominee for the District Chief Executive position for Gomoa East District Assembly,  Hon Solomon Darko-Quarm, was on Tuesday, 5^th October 2021, confirmed as the District Chief Executive at Emmanuel Methodist Church, Potsin, with a two-thirds (2/3) majority votes from  18- Assembly Members, 12- elected and 6-appointed.

The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan, before the confirmation, appealed to the Assembly Members to endorse the nominee with a 100% percent yes vote in order not to let the President down.

The President of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Council, Obrempong Nyanful Krampah, also called on members of the House to vote massively to endorse the President’s Nominee with a 100% yes vote since he had performed so well within his short time of office.

The President’s Nominee, Hon. Solomon Darko-Quarm, appealed to the Assembly Members to push him into office again by honoring him with a 100% percent vote.

Out of the total valid votes of Eighteen (18), the Nominee polled 12- Yes votes representing 66.67 Percent and 6 – No votes representing  33 Percent with no spoilt ballot, confirming him to continue his work as the District Chief Executive for Gomoa East District.
