Gomoa East provides 600 dual desk to schools within the District

10.Jun.2025

The Gomoa East District Assembly (GEDA) has distributed 300 dual desks to three basic schools—Amoanda D/A, Kojo Oku D/A, and Akraman D/A. The distribution ceremony took place on Monday, June 9, 2025, in front of the Assembly premises at Potsin.

Hon. Margaret Naana Ackom, the District Chief Executive for Gomoa East, announced that a total of 600 dual desks had been procured. Out of this, 300 desks were distributed, with each of the three schools receiving 100 desks. She further disclosed that the remaining 300 desks would be allocated to other schools in need.

According to Hon. Ackom, the intervention followed an appeal made two weeks ago by school authorities, who highlighted the lack of desks for pupils preparing for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). In response, the Assembly acted promptly to address the issue.

The DCE encouraged the BECE candidates to make the most of the support and deliver excellent results in their examinations.

This initiative reflects the Assembly's commitment to improving educational infrastructure and supporting students' academic performance in the district.
