The Gomoa East District Assembly marked the 67^th Independence Anniversary parade on the 67^th March, 2024 at Buduburam, D/A model D Basic school park.

The DCE for Gomoa East, Hon. Solomon Darko- Quarm, in his address disclosed, the District Celebration is rotated for people in major town to have a feel of the 6^th March just as the National one is done for every Region to experience the euphoria that comes with it.

He said, Central Regional coordinating council have agreed with the  Traditional Authorities of Gomoa to see to giving market women  who were selling along the Buduburam High-way a  proper place to sell  their wares.

Moving on, he stated that, although government sympathize with those seeking refuge at Point Hope School as a result of their eviction from the Camp due to demolishing of the slum, those who refuse to vacate the school from 6^th - 8^th of March, 2024, will have themselves to be blamed because the police will force them to leave, for the school children to use their class rooms.
