Development Permit

PERMIT PROCEDURE FOR NEW APPLICANT

STEP 1: Submission of application to Secretariat of SPC

  1. Check submission for compliance & provide technical guidance
  2. Recommend for change of use, if necessary
  3. Receive submission fees
  4. Create record database

STEP 2.

A: Vetting by Works Department

  1. Structural assessments
  2. Architectural assessments

B: Vetting by Physical Planning Dep’t

  1. Zoning checks
  2. Planning assessments
  3. Further consultation

C: Vetting by other relevant Agencies

  1. Additional technical assessments

STEP 3: Collation of Technical Findings

  1. Secretariat collates technical findings for site inspection

STEP 4: Site Inspection

  1. Physical Planning Officer and Works Engineer lead conduct of inspection with Applicant or his agent

STEP 5: Technical Consideration of application by Technical Sub Committee

  1. Assess application and make recommendations to Statutory Planning Committee

STEP 6: Statutory Consideration of application by Statutory Planning Committee

  1. Approval
  2. Refusal
  3. Queries/deferment

STEP 7: Processing of SPC decisions

  1. Notify applicant
  2. Prepare Permit certificate
  3. Sign certificate jointly by Secretary to SPC and Works Engineer
  4. Assess permit fees and receive payment

STEP 8.

A: Discussion of Queries and Appeals

B: Issuance of Development Permit

STEP 9:

Appeal to Regional Coordinating Council
