As part of activities to bring decentralization to the doorstep of the people, the District Chief Executive for Gomoa East District, Hon. Solomon Darko-Quarm, together with some key staff of assembly from time to time meet communities in the district to account to them on projects ongoing and completed, seek their views on happenings in the communities and also ask them of what projects they wish the assembly should undertake in their community. The DCE called on people in the area to pay their property rates, acquire permit for their building to enable the assembly gain more Internally Generated Fund (IGF) for development projects.
Community folks appealed for health facilities, toilets, extension of water and electricity, furniture for basic schools, computer labs, renovation of school blocks, upgrading of roads, and irregular flow of pipe –born water, culverts among others.
Communities visited included Nkwantanan, Dominase, Amoanda, Buduatta , Adzentem , Potsin ,Dampase and Ojobi .
