The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa East, Hon. Margaret Naana Ackom, has presented essential household appliances to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across the district as part of the Assembly’s commitment to improving their livelihoods and promoting social inclusion.
The donation, funded through the District Assembly’s Disability Fund, included chest freezers and other income-generating equipment to support beneficiaries in establishing or expanding small businesses. Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Ackom reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to empowering persons with disabilities through sustainable interventions that enhance economic independence and improve living standards.
She encouraged the beneficiaries to make good use of the items to create sustainable sources of income and expressed the Assembly’s continued dedication to ensuring that no one is left behind in the district’s development agenda.
